Happy Easter everyone! Today on our #DYFblog we are featuring our NEWEST Inspiration Board. Because it is Easter, and Spring is FINALLY in the air, we decided to create a wedding mood board revolving around lavender and yellow.
Yellow can take on an entirely different look when it is shown in a muted tone. This is a perfect combination for the spring and summer seasons. Both colors mimic sunshine and flowers blooming which often portray a feeling of happiness and newness, therefore an even better combo for weddings. If you like the colors but are having a wedding in the latter part of the year, try pumping up the intensity of the colors by pairing a darker purple with a brighter yellow.
You may wonder how to achieve this color palette without overdoing it. Incorporate the color pairing within your flowers, invitations, bridesmaids dresses, accessories, even in the menswear. For a spring/summer wedding, this is the ideal time for the groomsmen to wear a shade of khaki, even gray. A pop of yellow or lavender in their boutonniere, tie and/or pocket square will do just that! Another idea to consider, bridesmaids dresses in a muted floral print, rather than the traditional monotone color. A muted print, in an outdoor wedding will create a playful and fun look to pull your wedding together. If you decide on an outdoor wedding surrounded by greenery and flowers then the two will play off one another making for fabulous pictures.
Endless ideas are always available on Pinterest for this and any other wedding color palette your heart may desire!
Happy Easter everyone & Happy Planning!
